The Manitoba Indigenous Housing Capacity Enhancement and Mobilization Initiative (MIHCEMI) serves as a vital bridge between strategic housing goals and the practical, day-to-day realities of on-reserve management. By prioritizing Indigenous-led solutions, MIHCEMI delivers training programs that move beyond generic property management, focusing instead on the unique legal, geographic, and cultural landscapes of First Nations in Manitoba.
We are currently in the stages of providing National Building Code training through FNNBOA's Building Code Training Program.
This program has 5 courses and is over a 2-year period designed to equip individuals with comprehensive, culturally relevant skills to manage on-reserve housing.
MIHCEMI provides a robust suite of resources designed to equip individuals and communities for the effective management and long-term sustainability of on-reserve housing.
